Hi Brian. Excellent questions! The Zonix LED includes a 6″ downrod. You can order a close to ceiling kit as an accessory with this fan which will make the distance from ceiling to blade 8.88″. The longest downrod available is 72″. The LED light assembly is designed to last 40,000 hours and will need to be replaced at the end of this time period. Please contact your local Fanimation distributor for pricing on a replacement light assembly.

Can I change to the cherry blades in a damp location?
Hi Wrenn! Good question. Yes, you can order the cherry accessory blades, BPW4426CY, with the Zonix LED.
What is the color temperature of the LED bulb in the fixture?

The color temperature on the LED bulb in the Zonix is 3000k.
This really is a great design. With LED lighting technology reaching new heights in both quality and reliability, this seems like a great application for it. It would be intriguing to see LED technology combined with a more traditional design as well.
